The Garden Design Academy is not just about garden design courses.

We offer a range of courses aimed at the professional and keen amateur gardener who wish to enhance their knowledge of specific plants or groups of plant.

Courses come with a CD or written notes and students are guided through their learning by Colin Elliott, Course Director and an experienced international garden designer and horticulturist.

Colin is a passionate and knowledgable plantsman, who delights in passing on his enthusiasm and expertise both on a personal level and in articles, books and via the internet (including his personal gardening blog: A Gardener in France )

Many of the courses involve 100 hours of learning, concentrating on one group of plants. These are ideal for home study and will fill in knowledge gaps in these areas.

Others courses offered by the Garden Design Academy include career orientated Certificates in Plantsmanship and Arboriculture and are broader in their scope. Turf courses also cover the full range up to Associate Diploma for our future turf industry managers.
