certificate in horticulture: crops

A distance learning programme providing effective training for those working or wishing to work in nurseries, orchards or market gardens. Diversity is the key to success in crop production and employers seek people with broad skills and knowledge.

We run a number of different Certificates in Horticulture, all with the same essential horticultural science modules but each with lessons aimed at a particular industry sector. They form an excellent basis for the education of our future experts and professionals.

This course does that as well as giving you the confidence to make decisions in the field. This is more than most certificates offered by others - at certificate level most courses will allow you, on completion, to 'work under supervision'. Our 'problem based learning' style gives you the edge - it gives you the ability to make informed decisions - drawing on the skills and knowledge gained throughout the course.

This provides you with far more opportunities for advancement than other courses on offer at this level will.

The Garden Design Academy Certificate in Horticulture (Crops) provides approximately 700 hours of study in 18 modules, 3 of which are specific to crop production and written to RHS Diploma level.
